What ratings mean and how we calculate them:
The Taste Rating is a value from 1 to 10 (1 being the yuckiest taste imaginable) entered by users of this web site to express their own opinion about the particular energy drink.
The Clarity Rating is a measure of clear thinking, awareness, or alertness that seems to be an effect of the energy drink (also a user submitted opinion in a scale of 1 - 10).
The Buzz Factor is how wiggy, freaky, jittery, or spastic one becomes when consuming this product. This rating is calculated separately from the Overall Rating due to that for some this is positive, and for some it is very negative. The Buzz Factor is calculated by the sum of all of the ratings entered for the Buzz Factor, then divided by the number of people that submitted the opinion.
The Overall Rating is the sum of all the Taste Ratings and Clarity Ratings, divided by the number of people who have submitted their opinions about that energy drink. |

Stuff makes you go hyper! as for taste, when i was babysitting a 2 year old, he was choking on some cheese, so to induce vomiting, i stuffed some of this down his throat. worked like a charm. I have had monster energy drink before and so when i was about to drink this, i didn't expect it to taste good because i hated the taste of monster. surprisingly, i LOVED the taste, it tasted like carbonated lime drink. very fruity taste, it was great! and immediately after drinking i felt more awake and aware of things, i got a bit dizzy though. I liked this drink and the effect it had on me.
I was not buzzing around or anything, but my productivity level just went up and stayed up for HOURS. At the time of day I normally feel in a slump, I kept on working like I just started my day fresh. Now... falling asleep later that night was a longer process than usual... not because I felt caffienated (I never felt caffienated with this), but because I was still 'ready to go' HOURS later. On days when I need to stay up and running, this will be my drink. A surprising side effect as well was that I woke up without the alarm clock a few hours earlier than usual and I felt very refreshed. There was never a 'crash' for me with this. I wonder if anyone has noticed the new can design. I saw Klyde today at the convenience store and he carefully compared the cans next to each other.
There ingredients have been changed slightly. There are 245 mL instead of 246 mL. Higher sodium, less potassium, etc..

The taste wasn't all that great.. citrusy to be sure, but not that wonderful overall. I think I may be ruined after Monster. SoBe Green Tea is probably still my favorite. This certianly tensed me up a bit, but it didn't whallop me like I had expected. I think it caused a bit of indigestion too. | | |
