What ratings mean and how we calculate them:
The Taste Rating is a value from 1 to 10 (1 being the yuckiest taste imaginable) entered by users of this web site to express their own opinion about the particular energy drink.
The Clarity Rating is a measure of clear thinking, awareness, or alertness that seems to be an effect of the energy drink (also a user submitted opinion in a scale of 1 - 10).
The Buzz Factor is how wiggy, freaky, jittery, or spastic one becomes when consuming this product. This rating is calculated separately from the Overall Rating due to that for some this is positive, and for some it is very negative. The Buzz Factor is calculated by the sum of all of the ratings entered for the Buzz Factor, then divided by the number of people that submitted the opinion.
The Overall Rating is the sum of all the Taste Ratings and Clarity Ratings, divided by the number of people who have submitted their opinions about that energy drink. |

ASS!! | | | Date Posted: January 24th, 2005 | | Posted by: Maverick Malaki | Comment: It also tastes good and is very old school when it comes to the strength | | | Date Posted: November 04th, 2004 | | Posted by: klyde | Comment: this is the chuck berry of energy drinks. it's so old school. In fourth grade, this stuff was like crack. I remember this kid who was kind of a wuss, and he told a bunch of girls we knew that he drank a whole bottle of this stuff and passed out. Well, as soon as we cought wind of this, we let him have it. He was known as "jolt" until graduation. I must say, the blue and orange varieties taste better and go nice with about eight ephedrine tablets. This combination is also known as "trucker speed". | | | Date Posted: September 07th, 2004 | | Posted by: Patrick | Comment: Johnyy Poonani, lol. Nice. Jolt is the old-timer in the energy drink market.. before there was a market for it. It's just way too sickly sweet for me. Thanks for the post Johnny. Lol. And I agree with "coffee over Jolt". | | | Date Posted: September 07th, 2004 | | Posted by: Johnny Poonani | Comment: One of the only energy drinks I've ever had, Jolt picked me up. Made me a little belchy, and the crash was intense. I'd suggest coffee over Jolt. | | | Date Posted: August 06th, 2004 | | Posted by: Patrick | Comment: I used this during school. I would work all night and drink coffee. When the morning rolled around and it was time to go to class, I would bring two of these puppies with me. I think really all it did was make the spasms worse when I woke up at my desk. | | |
