Spam filtering at the mail server

ZDNet reports a free anti-spam service for small business.

This is good only for small companies using one domain with which to receive email. The cap is 5,000 emails per month.

This sounds a little too much like a free trial to me, but I like the model. It should get Netriplex recognized in the market more quickly with the "free" term being slung around.

I think I'd wait a bit before trusting one of my key email domains to them just to save a few dollars.

Other antivirus and anti-spam technologies for email strike my fancy more. MDeamon is a cost-effective solution providing ease of administration and reliability. Spam filtering is included with the server, and their proprietary anti-virus has kept my machine virus free for nearly a year of hosting I've had with a server that runs it.

This is what GKG uses.

Energy Drinks

I've been working on an energy drinks website for the better part of four months.

Although the site hasn't done extremely well, marketing it has been a great relearning experience. It's been years since I've done heavy work with SEO and online marketing.

My favorite resource forums have been the SEOChat forums. There are knowledgable people there, and usually friendly to new users with novice questions. There have been a few questions that I've asked that have gone unanswered - which frankly dissapointed me, but didn't make me think less of the community. In general, they are friendly and informative people.

The energy drinks site started with three or so drinks until a friend of mine helped me with some administration pages to make it easier to add them. Adding one drink used to take over an hour, manually entering them in the database. I don't recall the first added, but now I add roughly one per week.

There are a few other energy drink sites worth mentioning. I've exchanged links with most of them (a common marketing practice, and generally good manners).
They're all worth a visit, however the first two have much more personality.

Happy browsing :)
